Research has shown that the Kuskokwim Campus has higher retention rates than the larger campuses in Anchorage and Fairbanks for those students graduating from high school in the YK Region.  The Advising Center at the Kuskokwim Campus provides registration, degree evaluation, academic and career advising and many more services to students taking classes audio-conference from villages or on campus in Bethel.  We offer classes which allow students age 18-60+ to begin or finish degrees or certificates with out sacrificing Yup’ik culture or tradition.  Please contact us if you wish to receive more information on our programs or want to arrange for an advisor to visit your village.  Consider KuC First!

If you live in one of the above listed villages and would like to arrange an advisor visit, please call or e-mail Evelyn.  An advisor visit will consist of advisors meeting with school personel, teacher aids, health aids, community members, highschoolers and anyone else who is interested in college.  Advisors can help students to register for classes, add and drop classes, file petitions, request degree audits, provide access to transcripts and provide both academic and career advising.

FINANCIAL AID
Attending college costs money $$$.  Most students do not have enough money to pay for school by themselves.  Financial aid, a combination of scholarships, grants, loans and work study programs, is a way for students to fund their college experience.  Below are links to a few financial aid resources which may be of particular interest to KUC studetns. Explore these links and begin planning your educational Financial Aid future. Apply early and watch those deadlines.
